Agent Banking Company is a licensed Fintech by the Bank of Uganda, operating as a Payment System Operator. We specialize in providing shared and interoperable platforms and infrastructure to financial services providers in Uganda. Our mission is to enable these providers to serve customers at scale, securely, and affordably, ultimately fostering financial inclusion and empowerment within the region.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our business through strategic partnerships, market analysis, and innovative business development initiatives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with financial services providers, technology partners, and other key stakeholders in the industry.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities for expansion and growth within the financial services sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative product offerings and solutions.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to stay ahead of market developments and identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Performing other duties that maybe assigned from time to time
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or related roles within the fintech or financial services industry.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business development strategies that drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of the financial services landscape in Uganda, including knowledge of regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
