We provide shared and interoperable platforms and infrastructure to financial services providers in Uganda, enabling them to serve customers at scale securely and affordably. JOB DESCRIPTION:     

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving strategic financial planning to support our growth objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
  3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial standards.
  4. Oversee treasury management, cash flow, and liquidity planning.
  5. Lead financial risk management and internal control processes.
  6. Collaborate with executive management to support decision-making and optimize financial performance.
  7. Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, financial institutions, Development Partners, and Funders/Investors.
  8. Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  1. In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
  2. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to inform strategic decision-making.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  5. Experience in the fintech or banking industry preferred.
  6. Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Uganda is an advantage.
